Brewers Community Foundation is asking you to "THINK BIG" and fundraise for the 5K Famous Racing SausagesRun/Walk.

Brewers Community Foundation supports organizations that provide quality programming in the area of health, education, recreation and basic needs. In 2013, we are encouraging individuals to help Brewers Community Foundation raise additional funds for one of our partners. It is through your generosity that Brewers Community Foundation will be able to donate the funds that are raised through this fundraising tool to benefit Fisher House Wisconsin.

Fundraising Partner

In 2013, Brewers Community Foundation will again be utilizing a fundraising component to raise additional funds that fall under one of the focused areas of interest for Brewers Community Foundation. This year all funds raised through this fundraising tool will be directed towards the Fisher House Wisconsin. Our goal is to raise at least $100,000 through this online fundraising tool to help Fisher House Wisconsin raise the necessary funds to break ground in 2013.

Fisher House provides a "home away from home" for military and veterans' families to be close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee. Currently, veterans from 23 different states of all generations are traveling to the Milwaukee VA Medical Center for treatment at the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) center, while 8,000 Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans are receiving treatment here in Milwaukee for their wounds or injuries. Veterans and their families living beyond 50-miles from the Milwaukee VA hospital are eligible to stay for free at the Fisher House if they need to overnight. The Fisher House program recognizes the special sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and ensures that they are provided with the comforts of home in a supportive environment. Due to this need, the future Milwaukee home will be one of the largest built in the United States. The anticipated ground breaking for Fisher House Wisconsin is scheduled for 2013.

You can make a substantial impact by raising money by utilizing our new fundraising tool. Email your friends, family and coworkers from your fundraising page and encourage them to make a difference in the lives of children and families.
